My Research and Scholarship My Publications As for my potential for scholarship and collaboration with faculty and students, I have co-authored a text book on Electronic Marketing with a professor in the College of Business at USF. This book is in its second edition and has been translated to Portuguese. This publication also included a teacher’s guide, test banks and a full support web site with presentation materials. My recent publications include three published journal articles and one in review. These papers are collaborations with different groups of people across the USF campus. Two are with faculty and students in the College of Education, one on a grant project at Moffitt Cancer Center and one on my dissertation research with faculty from the College of Nursing. I pride myself on being a successful verbal and written communicator. Evidence of these skills is portrayed through healthy working relationships, regular presentations at professional conferences and publishing in the fields of educational technology and distance learning. I am just starting to write with colleagues at UAF. We are currently working on a book about Distance Education and a few articles about Distance Education in Alaska. I continue to work with colleagues from USF as well as graduate students who request research opportunities. For a complete listing of my publications, please see my current Curriculum Vitae. My Research I recently received my PhD in Instructional Technology from the University of South Florida where my dissertation topic was “Using Synchronous Web-Based Course Systems in the Online Classroom”. This area of research is of great interest to me as we examine both the social and the educational potential of online classrooms. As you will see from my vitae, my research interests and publications are very relevant to the fields of Instructional Technology and Adult Learning.
